The Frank McCleary Medical Scholarships  
For Students Enrolled in Select Medical Schools

The Frank McCleary Medical Scholarship Corporation is administered and directed by Mary Ball Chapter, NSDAR. These scholarships are awarded annually. 
Deadline for applicaiton is April 30, 2023

A.A. Moir - A.L. McCleary Scholarship 
​For Tacoma High School Students

First awarded in 1924, the Alida Abbot Moir and Ada L. McCleary Memorial Scholarship is awarded to a senior graduating from a high school in the Tacoma Public Schools, Tacoma, Washington. 

 Good Citizens Program & Scholarship Contest
for high school students
Open to all high school seniors enrolled in public or private schools accredited by their state board of education. 
The program and contest is intended to encourage and reward the qualities of good citizenship.

The scholarship contest has cash awards for winners at chapter, state and national level. Information is available on the essay page of the National Society web site. Students should contact teachers or counselors for information about this contest.
School Good Citizen selection and optional student essay submission must be submitted by November 30, 2023

DAR American History Essay Contest for 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students
Essays must be submitted by November 30, 2023.
In preparation for the 250th anniversary of the nation’s founding, the DAR has launched the
"Patriots of the American Revolution DAR High School Essay Contest.” This contest will focus on the men and women who figured in the events of the American Revolution (1773–1783), and it is hoped that students will find Patriots to write about who will interest and inspire them.  This contest is o
pen to all in 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students in public, private, or parochial schools or those who are home schooled

American Indian Student Scholarships
for College Bound Native American students
Three scholarships are available for college-bound Native American youth. The application process is now entirely online through DAR Academic Works portal located on the national Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) website. 
The portal will open to apply for the coming year, 2023, on November 1, 2022. 
No applications will be accepted other than via the online application submission portal.
